News from the Nurse:
Per District Policy:
-No more than three days can your child stay in without a doctor's written instruction.
-If your child has been sick and would need to be inside for recess plaese write a note for Nurse Sheri.
-If your child has medication to be administered by the school nurse, an emergency action plan for medication and treatment must be signed and reviwed by your doctor at the beginning of each school year.
-Student's are allowed to bring a week's supply of cough drops (2 per day, for 5 days; a total of ten cough drops) that may be stored and distributed by the classroom teacher as long as they have a note written from the parent.
Guidelines for Keeping Your Children Home per the Parent’s Handbook:
No child with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher should be sent to school. Your child should be fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medication) before returning to school.
Please remember to send the kids to school with warm coats, hats, scarves and gloves. Keep in mind, we are outside in the morning before school, during recess, as well as, at dimissal, unless it is below 20˚. We do not have enough coats in the nurse's office for every child.
If you are in need of a winter coat, please contact Ms. Jasurda, Meadow View’s Social Worker.
